Powerdove is a sparse acoustic project of singer/songwriter Annie Lewandowski. After performing with her first band, Emma Zunz, she divided her time recording with Hawnay Troof, Xiu Xiu, and the Curtains. Her time in the latter band led to a working relationship with John Dieterich (the Curtains, Deerhoof) who recorded the song “Birdsong” for her 2009 self-titled EP, which was produced by William Ryan Fritch. Portland’s Circle Into Square Records released Powerdove's full-length follow-up, Be Mine, in early 2011. ~ Jason Lymangrover
