Raised by his grandparents on Detroit's rougher streets, Justin Rice didn't become rapper Stax until his family relocated to San Antonio. Still, his sound was decidedly Detroit-influenced, as displayed on his 2015 single "Gangsta" featuring Kevin Gates.
