Besides mixing indie pop songwriting with electronics, the Method and Result incorporate Chicago-styled improv in the spirit of Tortoise or David Grubbs. The Philadelphia-based, married couple (Megan Wendell and Mason Wendell) contrast their vocals, upright bass, and electric guitars with tapes of caves, office equipment, and other oddities. Two years of recording and touring preceded the 2004 appearance of their debut EP, Things You Miss, co-released by The Losing Blueprint and KiraKira Disc Records. ~ David Jeffries
