Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Winning a copy of Kiss - Double Platinum in a bag of Hostess chips. Everything about the record and the band blew my young mind.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kiss, Destroyer Remastered MC5, The Big Bang! Best of the MC5 Mudhoney, Piece of Cake (Expanded Edition) The MC5 was a huge influence on our band and showed us the importance of having a killer live show, while we also gravitated toward the scrappiness of Piece of Cake. And of course, Destroyer remains a timeless record to this day.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “I've Got an Idea” We were still teenagers when we wrote and recorded this song. While it's absolutely not our best song by a long stretch, there are a lot of exciting memories that come flooding back when we hear it.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? We snagged the opening slot on ZZ Top's Western Canadian tour in June 1997. Cheap Trick, who is one of our fave bands, took over the tour when it reached Toronto. The ZZ Top crew was incredibly cool and let us watch Cheap Trick's set from side stage!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We just feel incredibly lucky to still be making music together after 30+ years AND that people still want to hear what we have to say. That's humbling.
