In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Growing up in England and as a child hearing my mum play Super Trouper by ABBA on vinyl and constantly asking for it on repeat. I was fascinated by that song and the sounds coming out of the speakers.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Graham Coxon, The Sky Is Too High Ian Brown, Unfinished Monkey Business Paul McCartney, Flaming Pie (Remastered) All three of these albums had a great influence on my songwriting and my journey as a musician. These records showcase the variety can come from making music as a solo artist.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Walking Out” Walking Out was the first song I ever wrote when I was 15 years old and so I always wanted it to be the first song on my debut album, to mark the start of my musical journey.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Having my music played on BBC 6 Music, used on a TV show and played on radio in Australia. Recording two live BBC Radio sessions and supporting some great live artists including Editors, Asobi Seksu and James Yuill. Seeing my records in Rough Trade.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would like to perform at an outdoor music festival and headline my own tour.
