In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I always remember having a love of music. I bugged my mum for saxophone lessons as an 8 year old and on the sax I got to experience playing in concert and stage bands, playing all styles of music. Eventually I moved to bass guitar in rock bands.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Air, Moon Safari Medeski, Martin & Wood, Combustication The Cinematic Orchestra, Every Day Some of my favourite music is instrumental music rooted in funk and jazz. These 3 albums all have deep textures, are impeccably produced and feature expressive improvisations. I strive to create music that takes listeners on a journey, like these do.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Takin' the day off” This song is the first on my album. It's based on a musical idea I had in my head for years, which I finally got a chance to record. I'm especially proud that I played all the instruments on this track, and almost all the instruments on the album.
