Formed initially as a comedic side-project of the influential, now-defunct Raging Speedhorn, Viking Skull is much more aggressive than its mother band. Sounding like a whiskey-spewing concoction of Motörhead, Black Sabbath, ZZ Top, and W.A.S.P., the band had its first break in America when “Skull Heaven” was included on the 2005 Bam Margera-sponsored music compilation VIVA LA BANDS. Jess Margera, brother of Bam and drummer for CKY, is also an official member of Viking Skull.
