Yasin Sulaiman honed his sweet and lilting voice as a member of Malaysian nasyid group The Brothers. As a solo artist, he redefined his style with a fresh take on Middle Eastern melodies, while adding in a flourish of Latin guitars—the result combines lush balladry with contemporary pop. After a few albums, Yasin shifted towards producing the next generation of Malaysian stars, occasionally lending melodic colour between streaks of hard-hitting hip-hop; a hybrid sound that soon evolved into the anthemic synth lines and trap beats of his comeback.
