Before they were The Invisible, the members of the UK trio lurked in the shadows of some of your favourite records. Bassist Tom Herbert, drummer Leo Taylor and singer/guitarist Dave Okumu have worked as session musicians for Jessie Ware, Lana Del Rey and even Adele. On their own, they weave strands of funk, soul and rock into porous webs dripping with melody and subtle electronic processing. It's music for dancing, and for dreaming: Okumu's scratchy falsetto gives their songs a quiet, contemplative air even when the groove is throwing off heat like a spinning disco ball.
