Once was a man, a hateful man

Had a wife, but couldn’t see the danger

‘Till one day, one fateful day

Along came a tall dark stranger

“Come away” said the stranger

“Stay!” said the husband

“Why?” said the wife

“Nay” said the stranger

“Fly!” said the stranger

“I?” said the wife

“Fine” said the husband, and reached for his gun

Let his wife sleep in the manger

‘Till one day, one fateful day

Along came a tall dark stranger

“Go” said the husband

“Who?” said the stranger

“Me?” said the wife

“No” said the husband

“Who? said the stranger

“You!” said the husband

“Oh” said the wife

“Blow” said the husband

“No!” said the stranger, and played his guitar

“Go” said the wife

“Who?” said the stranger

“Me?” said the stranger

“You!” said the wife

“See?” said the husband

“You too” said the wife

“You!” said the wife

“Me?” said the husband

“See?” said the stranger

“Ah!” said the husband

“No!” said the husband

“Go!” said the wife

“Oh” said the stranger

“Blow” said the wife, and picked up, and packed up and went home to her mother
