Thinking About the Rain

The sky surrounds the sunlight in a swirl of blue and gold

The kind of day that makes you want to watch the world unfold

A brilliant summer sunrise out beyond my windowpane

So why am I still thinking about the rain?

The clouds are perfect puffs of white, the trees are emerald green

There isn't any sign of storms or darkness to be seen

Not to leave this room and go outside would be a shame
