First thing first, before you have fun you gotta work, if you don't work you don't eat

First thing first, gotta be up before the birds,, ain't got no cheese you can't sleep

First thing first, I would never ever get hurt, bitch I keep my heart tucked deep

First thing first, priorities come first, can't be a bum in these streets

First thing first, before you have fun you gotta work, if you don't work you don't eat

First thing first, gotta be up before the birds, ain't got no cheese you can't sleep

First thing first, I would never ever get hurt, bitch I keep my heart tucked deep

First thing first, priorities come first, can't be a bum in these streets

Why you running these streets? If you don't take care at home, that's just mean you doing wrong

My kids gotta eat, that's just what I know, that's what got me on going

Long as I got feet, I'ma walk through this storm, I don't give a fuck about scars, shit I'm in too deep

Got problems of my own, I don't give a fuck about y'alls

Stopped giving help to ****, felt like it was a lost cause (that's right) stopped sharing that ball, I can't keep watching **** fall (that's right)

Gotta give it my all, I can't be depending on y'all (that's right)

When shit get tight, I ain't got no one I can call

And I can't waste time, there's some money out here, I'ma make mine

Gotta grind from the night to the daytime

Got kids, gotta make sure they smile

When it's all said and done, I hope they proud

And I know I lost it all, just to shake back

(Inaudible audio)

Mmm, I probably shouldn't say that

My children never gotta ask where they plate at

I'm like point to the kitchen where the cake at,

For the chicken, bitch I'm mixing, gotta bake that

For them nights in the trenches, built a safenet

First things first, before you have fun

You gotta work if you don't work you don't eat

First things first, gotta be up for the birds

Ain't got no cheese you can't sleep

First things first, I would never, ever get hurt

Bitch I keep my heart tucked deep

First things first, priorities come first

Can't be a bum in these streets

First things first, before you have fun

You gotta work if you don't work you don't eat

First things first, gotta be up before for the birds

Ain't got no cheese you can't sleep

First things first, I would never, ever get hurt

Bitch I keep my heart tucked deep

First things first, priorities come first

Can't be a bum in these streets
