Don’t politicize the gun

Politicians can’t be threatened

Just for laws that they design

But if you die from a complicated pregnancy that’s fine

Don’t politicize your wages

And the missing middle class

Don’t politicize the genocide you pay for with your tax

Can’t we all just take a moment

Can we keep our tongues in check

Authoritarian religious despots all deserve our deep respect

Does it have to be political

Can’t we all just get along?

Tolerate intolerance and cheer for dropping bombs

Don’t politicize the undermine

Of America’s ideal

When they hurt you that’s just policy, when you hurt him then it’s real

Don’t politicize the violence

That’s been done to you each day

I guess “Political violence is always wrong”

But only when it flows one way
