See them now, they're fighting for the swing

It's more fun trying to climb up the slide

Going down is far too easy

Slipping sliding, scrambling to the top

Their adventure has just begun

Those playground pipes have seen countless coats of paint

See the colors all chipped away

They'll be there long into tomorrow

Just like they were for yesterday

See my daughter playing in the playground

She did the monkey bars all by herself

It wasn't long, just a minute ago

She was too small to swing at all

Tomorrow morning she'll leave me for another man

Once in a while they'll visit me
