Gold and salt was more than value that was how we kept it runnin

But they never broke it down had to go and learn it on my own

That's what made me sit and think about the way they chose to frame it all

Cut the story down to pieces left the parts that mattered most

Diplomacy was real power conversations shaped the land

Messengers and trusted voices movin' word from hand to hand

That's how kingdoms held together that's what kept the balance strong

But they left it out the story had to go and see it on my own

Once you see it you can't unsee it everything start shiftin' fast

Now I move with better focus I don't look at things the same

Then I looked at how we lived and how the spirit tied to daily life

Not just power it was guidance how to move and how to decide

Ifá wasn't just religion that was knowledge that was code

When to act and when to pause how to carry what you hold

They ain't teach that in them classes only showed a broken view

Now I see a bigger picture now I understand it too

I don't argue I don't force it I just move with what I know

If they ready they'll go find it if not I just let it go
