YTB Fatt
Da Foxprint
Álbum · Hip-Hop/Rap · 2025
On “Days and Hours,” the second song from YTB Fatt’s 2025 album Da Foxprint, he explains that his girl isn’t used to his Benz, even though he shows affection by letting her borrow it for “days and hours.” In an interlude, he explains to his lady over the phone that all she has to do to start it is press a button. Throughout Da Foxprint, Fatt cherishes the world he’s built off of rap while regularly in awe that this life is his. It’s a thrilling, diaristic portrayal of an artist who has made it.
And it’s easy to hear why he’s made it. The Arkansas-born rapper is a true child of the South, blending the soulful blues of Boosie with the pain-rap of contemporaries like NoCap. When Moneybagg Yo comes through on the horn-led, triumphant “I’m Him,” the duo sound like they hail from the same zip code. YTB Fatt manages to be chamelonic while maintaining his own style, infusing the sounds of the South with his humorous, celebratory perspective.
