Hans Zimmer first contacted Klaus Badelt after the composer left a demo at Zimmer’s office during a visit to Los Angeles.
∙ While at Hans Zimmer’s company, Badelt worked on the blockbusters Gladiator, Mission: Impossible 2, and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
∙ Hans Zimmer was originally slated to compose the score for Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, but he was too busy and recommended Badelt for the gig.
∙ Tiësto and DJ Rebel notched Top 10 hits in Europe with remixes of “He’s a Pirate” from the Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl soundtrack.
∙ Badelt has scored several dozen films, including K-19: The Widowmaker, Ned Kelly, Rescue Dawn, The Promise, and The Time Machine.
