In addition to pioneering the “Mediterranean music” genre, Amr Diab was the first Egyptian singer to appear in a music video.

· In 2014, Shoft El Ayam was the best-selling album on iTunes in Egypt, holding the No. 1 spot for more than a year.
· Diab’s songs appear on the soundtracks for the films The Dancer Upstairs and The Dictator, as well as in an episode of the TV series Malcolm in the Middle.
