A J-Pop duo formed in 1999, Angela released more than five albums, an number of singles, and made contributions to many anime soundtracks. Members Hirasato Katsunori (guitars, keyboards, arrangments) and Yamashita Atsuko (vocals, lyrics) met at music school in Tokyo, and were signed to King records in 2002. Before signing with King, the duo released a number of singles and albums independently. In addition to a full-recording and release output, Angela also found time to perform at anime-cons around the United States in 2005. Their best of album, 2007's Takarabako - Treasure Box, was a top twenty hit in Japan. ~ Chris True
