Contemporary gospel vocalist and composer Cheneta Jones strives to reach her audience with relatable songs regarding faith and everyday life. The St. Louis, Missouri native was in an R&B group, not her first, in 2008, when she opted to devote herself to the church. Seemingly inspired by R&B-gospel groups like Trin-i-Tee 5:7 and Mary Mary, Jones debuted in 2012 with Transformed, an album that reached number 14 on Billboard's gospel chart. Jones was subsequently nominated for a Stellar award in the category of Best New Artist. "It's You (A Love Song)," a duet with Zacardi Cortez, was released as a single in 2015. ~ Andy Kellman
