Although best known as half of the space rock duo Charalambides alongside her former husband Tom Carter, singer and guitarist Christina Carter has maintained a solo career as well. Her first solo album was the folkish, acoustic LIVING CONTRACT, recorded in bits and pieces between Charalambides sessions in the mid-1990s but unreleased until 2004. It was followed two years later by the minimalist ELECTRICE and in 2008 by ORIGINAL DARKNESS.
