∙ Released in 1975, her single “Gigi l’amoroso” broke the world record for sales—an honor previously held by Frank Sinatra’s “Strangers in the Night.”
∙ Dalida’s chart-topping 1976 dance classic, “J’attendrai,” was the first disco hit with French lyrics.
