Prominent in both the US and Nigeria, DJ Tunez—born Michael Babatunde Adeyinka—is a leading house and Afrobeats artist and producer.
∙ In 2012, DJ Tunez created the now-global Blackout concert showcase, which is recognized as the biggest annual Afrobeats party series in the US.
∙ Nominated for three Nigeria Entertainment Awards, he’s won two: World DJ (2014) and Best Collaboration, for “Iskaba” (2017).
∙ The 2017 collaboration with Wande Coal, “Iskaba,” was DJ Tunez’s first Billboard charting single and was included on okayafrica.’s Best Songs of 2017 list.
∙ Afrobeats star Wizkid signed him to his label in 2016 and was later featured on multiple DJ Tunez singles, including 2018’s “Turn Up” and 2020’s “PAMI.”
