Dream Widow is the fictional band who loom over Studio 666, the horror comedy starring Foo Fighters. Grohl wrote and recorded an entire EP of Dream Widow music for Studio 666. Most of the instrumental work was from Grohl, but there were contributions from Foo keyboardist Rami Jaffee, keyboardist Oliver Roman, and guitarist Jim Rota. These recordings were issued as an eponymous EP in March 2022 that capably paired classic thrash and blazing prog with melodic death and bruising stoner metal.
