Acerca de Guster
Guster were one of the biggest success stories of the ’90s and 2000s folk-jam college circuit. Anchored by Ryan Miller’s keening vocals, Adam Gardner’s lively guitars and vocals, and Brian Rosenworcel’s forceful drumming, the trio connected with audiences through the rollicking “Barrel of a Gun,” the horn-peppered “Fa Fa,” and the R.E.M.-esque “Amsterdam.” Guster initially formed at Tufts University near Boston in 1991 and honed their live show busking for change in Harvard Square. After a pair of well-received independent releases (1994’s Parachute and 1997’s Goldfly), the group signed to a major label and worked with producer Steve Lillywhite for the 1999 album Lost and Gone Forever. Guster’s sonic palette expanded in proportion with their commercial success, leading to gorgeous collections of pop-rock such as 2003’s Keep It Together and 2006’s Ganging Up On the Sun. Since then, the band have continued to record and maintain a robust touring schedule.
