Irfan Haris grabbed the spotlight on reality-TV competitions like Big Stage, and it proved a stepping stone to a solo career. Released when he was just 16, “Pesan” found his still-developing, dulcet tones perfectly at home on an unusually devotional ballad. He instantly branched out by collaborating and co-writing with siblings—and fellow artists—Amira Othman and Haiqal Iskandar on similar cuts. 2019 pop single “Honey” brought a more playful Irfan to the fore as Motown influences revealed a young performer with an old soul.
