∙ “My Cat’s Name Is Maceo,” from the 1997 compilation Kettle Whistle, featured jazz great Maceo Parker playing alto saxophone.
∙ Farrell credited Entourage star Adrian Grenier with getting the HBO show’s producers to use “Superhero” as the theme song.
∙ Alice Cooper chose their chart-topping 1990 hit “Been Caught Stealing” among his list of essential recordings on the BBC radio program Desert Island Discs.
