Eiza González Reyna, better known to fans of Mexican youth culture as Lola, earned overnight recognition as the title character in Lola, Erase una Vez. Playing a modern-day Cinderella with a rock princess edge, Lola parlayed the role into an opportunity to record, much like Hilary Duff's transition from actor to teen pop star. Thanks to Lola's built-in audience, her repertoire was an instant success on Mexican radio, and the actor-turned-singer's debut album (also entitled Erase una Vez) maintained a presence in the Top Ten for months.
