Biografía de este/a artista
One of South Africa's major underground Afrikaans rappers, Jéan-Luc Loufi Handel is a perceptive, humorous member of Port Elizabeth's small, tight-knit hip-hop scene who got his start in the rap crew CMB of Young Park. After releasing his debut single, "Pêrels," in 2018, Loufi channeled his family's economic struggles into the lyrics of the infectious club banger "Ek Is Broke," asking, "Did I mention my mom pays for my wifi?" Having discovered a theme that his peers could relate to, Loufi soon made an even bigger splash with his 2021 album Gan Sê Jou Mense and its hit party tracks "Wit Skoene" and "Boude," which were accompanied by videos shot on the sly during Covid lockdown.
