In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember driving around with my dad as a kid, listening to his music. Jackson Browne, Bruce Springsteen, Eagles... It all had a profound impact on me and was the catalyst that inspired me to pursue a career in music.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bruce Springsteen, Darkness on the Edge of Town Jackson Browne, I'm Alive Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Damn the Torpedoes These albums are a few of the albums that most inspired me to start writing songs and to put a band together back in high school. They'll always have a special place in my heart because of the impact they had on me.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Run Tonight” Run Tonight is a song we don't play live very often, but it's one of my favorites I've written. More than anything I've done, it feels like the music I grew up on. I had been chasing that sound for a long time and finally found it with this song.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? We've gotten to play a lot of special shows over the years. But getting to open a show at The Pageant in St. Louis, MO (my hometown) was really special. It's the venue I grew up seeing shows in, so to be on that stage was pretty surreal.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There's a lot left. But playing Red Rocks and The Ryman are at the top of the list, for sure.
