After an adolescent illness frustrated his dreams of becoming a professional athlete, the young Max Morgan, son of Liverpudlian soccer star Barry Vension, devoted himself to music, taking up the guitar and piano and studying composition. After moving to California the young musician’s skills as a singer and songwriter won him the attention of Chime Entertainment’s Marc Tanner, who would eventually produce Morgan’s debut, INTERRUPTING THE SILENCE. The album was released in 2009; its finely honed songs and baroque modern rock production recalled the lush orchestral pop of artists like Jon Brion and Rufus Wainwright.
