When British singer/songwriter Jackie Lomax signed a solo deal with the Beatles' Apple Records, he left behind a group that briefly carried on under the name Rain -- a lost, late-'60s project that combined the Fab Four's late-period psychedelic influence with the burgeoning sound of West Coast folk-pop. Buried for years, the band's sole intended album, recorded in 1967, was finally released more than five decades later.
