In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was 9 years old, and my sister and I were given one mic to share for a gig. We ended up fighting over the mic and I bit her arm very hard in front of a few hundred people. We’ve since made up and I only bite my own microphone now.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Big Thief, Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You Helena Deland, Someone New 'Someone New' by Helena Deland. Rad production and deep lyrics. 'Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You' by Big Thief. Obsessed with Adrienne Lenker's songwriting.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “F**ked Up Over You” ‘F**ked Up Over You' that I released in 2018. It celebrates a moment of self-empowerment in the face of heartache. The song came to me from the ether when I most needed it, so I'm very fond of it.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Writing and recording my debut album. The songs are all about hard truths I had to face entering adulthood so it was cool to turn it into art. I've overcome a lot, and I somehow have exorcised my demons a bit by expressing it through music.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’d like to write and produce a very self indulgent acid album. To make music without ego would be terrifying.
