Taking their name from an '80s skateboard wheel, the Belair Lip Bombs combine elements of punk, indie pop, garage rock, Australian pub rock, and more into their aggravated, guitar-driven alternative songs. Mixing the melancholy and the annoyed from the beginning, they followed their 2018 self-titled debut EP with the album Lush Life in 2023. Third Man Records took notice and gave the debut LP a proper label release in 2024. The next year's slightly more polished Again saw the group working with outside producers for the first time while still sounding restless.
