The Girl and the Dreamcatcher is a contemporary pop duo formed by actors/singers Dove Cameron and Ryan McCartan. Cameron is best known for her starring role in the Disney sitcom Liv and Maddie in which McCartan also guest stars. The couple made their debut in October 2015 with the bright synth-pop single "Written in the Stars," which they quickly followed with a pair of holiday singles. Throughout the first half of 2016, they served up a heavy diet of fresh singles, leading up to the release of their debut EP, Negatives, in July of that year. ~ Timothy Monger
