Vex'd were a British duo (Jamie Teasdale and Roly Porter) whose aggressive, volatile tracks blended dub, dancehall reggae, and hip-hop elements with industrial and noise textures, becoming a major influence on dubstep and grime. Their Degenerate (2005) was one of Planet Mu's most successful releases, making an impact on the developing dubstep scene as well as earning attention from fans of harder styles of electronic music such as breakcore and IDM. After the duo broke up, Teasdale recorded as Dakimh, Jamie Vex'd, and Kuedo, while Porter recorded under his birth name. The duo performed as Vex'd during a Planet Mu 20th anniversary concert in Belgium. ~ Paul Simpson
