He mentions taking medicine to finally sleep on 2023’s lovelorn “Missing You” and “Better Days” alike—the latter becoming the title track of his debut album—and day-drinking out of pure romantic desperation on the same year’s “Daydream.” Enjoying three singles in the upper reaches of the charts in his home country by the time he was 22, Swinton has always sounded wise behind his years.
