Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Cruising around the streets of Birmingham with my dad driving and blasting songs by the Sahota's. This really paved the way to exploring Punjabi music more.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? AP Dhillon, Gurinder Gill, Money Musik, Not by Chance Drake, Take Care Jazzy B, Maharaja's (feat. Kuldeep Manak & Yudhveer Manak) These albums have hugely inspired the song that I'm producing currently. From contemporary beats used on AP and Drake's album, to the compositions and classical folk influence used on Jazzy's.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Shareef (feat. Harman)” Being the first song I collaborated on with Harman, this song soon rose to international fame. This was a passion project for me and the song was very closely to my heart as it was something written on my request. This song made my career in my mind.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? This is definitely going to have to be performing at the Birmingham Mela in front of 20,000 people alongside Harman, having only released 5 songs together.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Performing at Glastonbury or Wireless Festival for sure.
