Songwriter/guitarist Buddy Miller has commanded enormous respect in the country and Americana fields on the strength of his talents and rootsy solo LPs, often with accompaniment from his wife, Julie Miller, a songwriter and vocalist herself. After decades as an itinerant musician, Miller released his solo debut in 1995 before joining Emmylou Harris' touring band. His connection with Harris, and later Steve Earle, drew attention to his solo efforts. Ten years on, he enjoyed an acclaimed solo career while also producing and writing for The Dixie Chicks and Jimmy Dale Gilmore.
