Otherwise known as "El Caballero de la Salsa," Gilberto Santa Rosa is one of the most respected and consistent salseros of his time. The Puerto Rican made his formal debut singing on live TV when he was just 12 years old, and in his early twenties was a featured singer in many of his homeland's most popular salsa bands, including Tommy Olivencia and Willie Rosario's orchestras. He broke through internationally in '90, and since then he's released a consistent stream of albums that have showcased both his improvisational skills and his romantic bent.
