Lao Lang's sound is the pop music equivalent of flipping through old photobooks with loved ones. His clear and powerful voice has a wistful power that envelops listeners with warm emotion at every crescendo. Formerly a computer engineer, Lang burst onto the Chinese pop scene in 1995 with the release of his debut song “My Deskmate” and began collaborating with polymath composer Gao Xiaosong. Although never a prolific artist, releasing only a handful of albums over the years, Lang makes up for it in quality. Every song is like a bullet train back to a better time.
