Through his instructional DVDs and meditation recordings, Alejandro Maldonado quickly became the face of yoga for the Spanish-speaking world. He began his study in New York City, but it was in Miami that he pursued classes and accreditation as a teacher. Studying under Wayne Krasnner at the Miami Yoga Center, Maldonado mastered the techniques of Ashtanga Yoga that would lay the foundation for his career. Maldonado learned and taught at yoga centers across India and the world, but eventually set up shop in Mexico, teaching classes and specializing as a yoga teacher to the stars, with clients including Paulina Rubio and Alejandra Guzman. His DVD/CD releases Yoga and Pausa, featuring segments on yoga practice and philosophy, became best-sellers throughout Latin America. ~ Evan C. Gutierrez
