The Fog

I saw the light

Clearing the fog

Stood by its power

In the dark for so long

I walked to the water

To make sure it’s still there

Touched my fingers to the surface

To salvation from despair

The sky was on fire

Stretched my body across the sand

I was looking for something more

Feel the warmth in my hands

In my days I live for daze

In the playground of my mind

I don’t know what it is

But I see woman in its eyes

Day turns to night

Like sand into stone

The longest night

Like a deep rich tone

The sun and the moon

Everything in between

There’s me and you

It’s a fever dream

When I’m all alone

The dust in the air

Could break my bones

It’s not fair

It’s a fever dream

Its so real to me

I don’t know what it is

But I feel woman inside of me
