A Christian rapper out of St. Louis, Flame has been doing his thing for a while now. After four albums with Cross Movement Records, he launched his own label, Clear Sight Music, for 2010's Captured and now returns with his aptly titled sixth full-length. The production easily shifts between big, brash Southern-style anthems and low-key, melodic pop-rap, as Flame and his likeminded collaborators (Young Noah, Chris Lee, Lecrae, AD3, V. Rose, Steve T) sound off about reverence for their lord and savior. Standout tracks include the thought-provoking "Trap Money," the jittery Bible bounce of "Scripture Alone," the scratch-laced epic "Devil's Bread," and the R&B-flavored examination of man "The 6th Day." For righteous listeners with an ear for club music, this is another strong showing from Flame.
