Paranoia also looms large on the project, with tracks featuring names like “Hearing Voices” and “Walls Closing In.” The latter begins with Ace recounting a call he received from a friend, who let him know he took a deal to spend 25 years in prison. Despite the outlook, Ace spends time on the project taking tangible steps towards a better mindset, like on “Therapy Session,” where he treats the recording booth like a shrink’s couch, eager to tackle the many issues that press his psyche.
