A Killer's Confession is a hard-hitting metal troupe led by ex-Mushroomhead vocalist Waylon Reavis, combining neck-snapping nu metal riffs, immersive industrial atmospheres, and emotionally charged lyrics. Since their 2017 debut Unbroken, the Cleveland-based band has sharpened their alternative metal sound -- drawing influence from Slipknot, Korn, and Mudvayne -- across a series of compelling releases including The Indifference of Good Men (2019), Remember (2021), and the darkly cinematic Victim series (Victim 1 in 2024 and Victim 2 in 2025).
A Killer's Confession was founded in 2016 by Reavis, drummer Jon Dale, bassist JP Cross, and guitarists Matt Trumpy and Paul Elliot -- the lineup has evolved significantly over the years, with Reavis and JP Cross remaining the core members. The band inked a deal with Megadeth bassist David Ellefson's EMP label shortly after formation. A Killer's Confession decamped to Richmond, Kentucky's Third Sky Studio, with Reavis and EMP's Thom Hazaert taking on production roles. The resulting Broken, released in 2017, introduced audiences to the band's combative style, which they refined further on 2019's aggressive, yet introspective The Indifference of Good Men. 2021's independently released Remember featured a guest spot from Chad Gray (Mudvayne, HELLYEAH) on the punitive single "Tell Your Soul." A Killer's Confession inked a deal with MNRK Heavy ahead of the release of 2024's Victim 1, the first installment of a conceptual trilogy exploring the psyche of a vigilante.
