In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was about 8 or 9, my brother first noticed how well I write lyrics & made me rap for my dad. They were both impressed at my wordplay, which came so early. Since then, I’ve ran with the feeling that moment gave me.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? AlJames989, 2 Gifted: Born Free DMX, The Best of DMX Nas, Illmatic It wouldn’t let me choose It’s Dark & Hell Is Hot. I love these albums because they put me in the mind of the artist. Although 2GBF is mine, the music is amazing if you ask me.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Freedom (Born Crazy)” This song is really a “part three”. My dad released “Born Crazy & Free” & “Born Crazy & Free Pt. 2” almost 30 years ago. Pt. 2 was my favorite song as a kid. I never really thought I’d make anything referring to it. I wrote Freedom, now here we are.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I remember my first headlining show. It was terrible. I did great, but the crowd left right before my performance. Only my family stayed so I performed for them. It was my first time actually being embarrassed musically. I fell deeper in love
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I just want to get as big as possible with this music. I believe in it that much.
