In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Growing up, both of my parents were classical musicians & violin instructors. My late father taught advanced students, and his studio was across the hall from my room. I would fall asleep listening to Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, and Mozart.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bon Iver, Blood Bank - EP Nils Frahm, All Melody Silkroad Ensemble, Yo-Yo Ma, Silk Road Journeys: When Strangers Meet (Remastered) Yo-Yo Ma’s playing on Silk Road unlocked a universe of possibilities on cello. Nils’ blend of timbre, texture, and depth comes across as powerfully on the album as it does live. Blood Bank is pure vibe. The lap steel on Beach Baby is a whole world.
