In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I couldn't remember starting to play piano so I asked my mom. She said, "About 18 months lol". She said I didn't' have a play pen. While she cleaned the house, she'd put me on the piano stool and I'd softly play keys and study.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? George Duke, Illusions Stevie Wonder, Songs in the Key of Life Songs in the key of life is like a clinic on the highest level of songwriting and production. In Illusions, I heard someone who thought like me but knew more. George let me know at the perfect time that anything I thought could be sonically realized.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Pch” PCH is based on a themed I came up with at Oakwood collete around 1997. Such a full circle moment for me to finally record it so much later.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? There are so many. Singing with Take 6, writing for Boyz II Men with Babyface, Playing for Aretha Franklin, Making the biggest record of 2008 (No Air - Jordin Sparks and Christ Brown). Writing, producing, rapping, with Dr Dre. Hard to pick.
