Detroit underground rap veteran G.T. mines his city’s rich history by pairing laid-back flows with bouncy productions.
• G.T. started rapping at an early age—he liked being the center of attention.
• In 2015, he survived a car accident that left him comatose for nine days with several broken bones. The music video for “Supposed to Be Here,” off his 2018 debut album, Relentless, recounts the traumatic experience.
• His 2020 project Timeless includes features from longtime collaborators Babyface Ray and rising Detroit star Sada Baby.
